🍓 Strawberry Moon
Typically in June · Upcoming: June 19, 2027
Meaning
This moon marks the short wild strawberry harvest season in the northeastern United States, and carries themes of sweetness, abundance, and the need to enjoy good things while they last.
Folklore & Origin
Algonquian, Ojibwe, and Dakota peoples used this name to mark the brief window for gathering wild strawberries; European names for the same moon include the Rose Moon and Honey Moon, the latter linked to the tradition of June weddings.
A Simple Ritual
Savor something literally sweet tonight — fruit, honey, a favorite treat — while naming one 'sweet' thing in your life you have been rushing past instead of enjoying.
