🌸 Pink Moon
Typically in April · Upcoming: April 21, 2027
Meaning
Despite the name, this moon has nothing to do with the moon's actual color — it marks the early pink blooms of wild ground phlox that carpet eastern North America in spring. It is a moon of tender renewal and first blossoms after a long dormancy.
Folklore & Origin
The name comes from Algonquian peoples who tracked the blooming of Phlox subulata as a seasonal marker; it is also called the Sprouting Grass Moon, Egg Moon, or Fish Moon in other traditions.
A Simple Ritual
Choose one area of your life that feels ready to 'bloom' and take one visible first step toward it today, however small.
